The only Azure pricing calculator that designs the environment for you, prices it live across 10 US and global regions, gets the licensing right, and shows the honest cheaper paths — including which cuts not to make.
The comparison matrix below the estimate prices your build across every region × term combination automatically.
Reserved pricing covers compute; Windows Server licensing is added at the pay-as-you-go rate on reserved terms, matching how Azure bills it.
Enter users and we'll size pooled multi-session hosts automatically (Windows 11 multi-session, D4s v5 + P10 profile disk per host).
Your exact configuration priced across every region × term permutation.

The short answers behind the calculator — the same rules the advisor applies to your quote.
Any business workload: cloud desktops (Azure Virtual Desktop) for remote teams, line-of-business applications, file servers, databases, websites, and backup or disaster-recovery targets — from a 5-person practice to several hundred users. It's tuned for small and mid-size businesses, where list prices are what you'll actually pay; larger organizations can use it too, though negotiated enterprise pricing and custom architecture mean your formal proposal carries more of the answer. Describe your business in a sentence and the advisor designs the environment; anything it can't price by the unit is listed as “priced in proposal” so nothing is hidden.
From a single person to several hundred. For cloud desktops the calculator sizes shared session hosts at a density that fits your workload — about 6 users per host for heavy accounting or tax software, 8 for standard office work, 12 for light browser and email use — and shows what each choice costs per month.
Most business servers fall into three sizes: small (2 cores / 8 GB) for utilities and light apps, standard (4 cores / 16 GB) for typical applications and desktops, and large (8 cores / 32 GB) for busy application tiers. Databases and memory-hungry software use the memory-heavy family (32–64 GB). The advisor picks these for you from your description and you can change any of them.
B-series (burstable) suits light, intermittent utility servers. D-series is the general-purpose workhorse for applications and cloud desktops. E-series adds memory for databases and ERP. F-series is compute-optimized for CPU-bound jobs. N-series (GPU) serves CAD, Revit, rendering and AI workloads, priced here as GPU workstation hosts. The calculator labels every option in plain business terms with the SKU beside it.
Premium SSD keeps disk-heavy software responsive under load; Standard SSD is fine for file shares and utility servers. Tax and accounting applications such as Lacerte and QuickBooks are disk-intensive at deadlines, so the advisor keeps Premium disks for those even in the Budget option and tells you why. Bulk documents go to blob storage at cents per GB, and shared user profiles on Azure Files Premium.
Pick the region closest to your users for speed — the calculator prices ten US and global regions side by side so you can see the difference, which is often 5–15%. Some industries must keep data in-country; if that applies to you, choose your home region and we confirm compliance in the proposal.
Reserved capacity (1- or 3-year) typically saves 15–30% over pay-as-you-go and is priced live here. Reservations can't shrink after peak season, so the advisor recommends against 3-year terms for seasonal teams and says so. Azure Savings Plans, a flexible commitment with smaller discounts, are quoted in your formal proposal.
Yes — Windows Server licensing is billed hourly on top of compute, which can be 30–50% of a VM's cost. The calculator shows the Linux saving for each server and is honest that it only applies when your software actually runs on Linux. Cloud desktops are licensed per user through Microsoft 365 Business Premium, E3 or E5 instead.
Backup is priced per protected server and per GB and is on by default. Identity protection (Entra ID P1) and endpoint protection (Defender for Business) are per-user add-ons in the seat table. Disaster-recovery targets, conditional access policies and similar architecture are designed in and priced by name in your formal proposal.
Eighteen VM sizes across the B, D, E, F and GPU families (Windows and Linux, with 1- and 3-year reservations), cloud desktops sized from that fleet, nine managed-disk tiers from 128 GB to 4 TB, Microsoft Fabric analytics capacity from F2 to F256, blob and Azure Files Premium storage, outbound data transfer, static IPs, VPN Gateway, Azure SQL Database, backup, and Site Recovery for disaster-recovery standbys — plus Microsoft 365 seats from Business Basic to E5 with Copilot, Entra ID P1 and Defender for Business. All at Microsoft’s published list prices, refreshed nightly across ten regions. Services beyond this list — firewalls, Front Door, Sentinel, SQL Managed Instance, ExpressRoute, per-user Power BI licences and similar — are still designed in where your solution needs them and priced by name in your formal proposal: the calculator never invents a price.
Yes — the example prompts cover a 45-user CPA firm on QuickBooks and Lacerte, a 20-person agency with a file server and line-of-business app, and an 80-user ERP on SQL Server with disaster recovery. Each produces a complete design you can adjust, and you can type your own business for a custom one.
Typical examples from this calculator at list prices: a 5-person accounting practice on cloud desktops with Microsoft 365 runs about $230–$300 per month (roughly $45 per person); a 45-user firm with premium disks, profile storage and backup runs about $1,700–$2,300 depending on region and commitment. Your formal proposal applies Apps4Rent CSP pricing and confirms the final figure, which may differ from these list-price examples.
You already have it: every estimate you email is reviewed by an Apps4Rent architect before the formal proposal, which prices anything marked “priced in proposal” and applies CSP pricing.
